qmeme_1403225754954_571The Cyclones finished their roadtrip in to Hudson Valley by sweeping the Renegades 4-0 to improve to 5-2 on the season & take a 1 game lead over the Gades in the McNamara Division.

The game remain scoreless through the 1st 5 innings.

In the top of the 6th, Darren Fischer came in to pitch. Amed Rosario led off with a walk. Luis Arrizurieta, who replaced Tyler Moore who injured himself in a collision with Michael Katz in the 2nd, tripled to right to make it 1-0. Michael Katz then went down swinging. Tomas Nido then singled to center, scoring Arrizurieta and giving Brooklyn the 2-0 lead. Jhoan Urena lined out to short, followed by a Jeff Diehl walk. Tucker Tharp then singled to center, scoring Nido and moving Diehl to 3rd. With Anthony Chavez batting, Tucker Tharp stole 2nd. Chavez walked to load the bases, but Joe Tuschak flew out to end the inning.

The Cyclones would tack on 1 more in the 8th, on an RBI double by Tucker Tharp, scoring Michael Bernal who pinch ran for Jeff Diehl. Edioglis Villasmil came in the 9th & send the Gades down in order, giving Brooklyn the win.

This game was marred by collisions, which caused both teams to make substitutions. Renegades 3B Alec Sole had to be taken out of the game just one at bat into the game, due to a collision. Tyler Moore was injured in a collision with 1B Michael Katz and had to be replaced by Luis Arrizurieta in the 2nd. With one out to go in the 9th, Chavez and Michael Bernal collided, which resulted in Bernal leaving the game, Chavez moving to 1st, Katz moving to RF & Dimas Ponce coming in to play 2nd. No word on that status of Bernal or Moore.
The Cyclones head to Aberdeen for a 3 game set with the Ironbirds.
