qmeme_1433783509517_914With less than 2 weeks to go until the Season Opener in Staten Island, here are some bits & pieces of Cyclones news to be aware of for the 2015 season.

Season Ticket Holder Card

Season Ticket Holder Cards were mailed out on Thursday. Some people got them over the weekend. Most people should have them by Thursday.

Those who got it noticed it is too big for most wallets.

Tom SignoreDecision on Signore Wednesday

A decision will be made this Wednesday whether or not Tom Signore will be medically cleared to start the 2015 season as Cyclones pitching coach. Signore is still battling symptoms from a concussion suffered while serving as Pitching Coach for the Las Vegas 51s in May 2014.

Should Signore not be able to serve as pitching coach, Dave LaRoche has been designated to fill his role, as he did last season.

National Anthem Auditions

Auditions to sing the Star Spangled Banner in front of the Cyclones faithful at MCU Park will be held at outside the Cyclones Administrative Office in MCU Park on Wednesday, June 17th from 5-7.

No More National Honey Board Deal

Last season, the Brooklyn Cyclones and National Honey Board allowed fans who brought receipts showing they bought honey to receive either a free hat or 10% off their purchase at Cyclones City. This year, the Cyclones & National Honey Board will not be offering this deal to fans. The Kingsport Mets, (Rookie) will offer it, along with 13 other teams.

No More Bolts?

Brooklyn_BoltsA source within the FXFL has informed Brooklyn Baseball Banter that the odds of a 2015 season are highly unlikely.

The FXFL faced a number of issued during the 1st season. There was an imbalance in the scheduling, as the Brooklyn Bolts, Omaha Mammoths and the Boston Brawlers all were scheduled to play 5 homes (3 home, 2 road) and the Blacktips played 3 road games. Another issue was the inability for the FXFL to schedule a championship game.

Carpools to Staten Island

This season, fans will be trying to organize a more efficient way of Carpooling to road games in Staten Island. Drivers will inform potential riders of where and when they will make pickups, as well as how many available spaces they have in their cars.

We will also be considering organizing a van to pick us up & take us back to Brooklyn.

To partake in this, please join REAL BROOKLYN CYCLONES FANS on Facebook.
