To My Loyal Readers,

The countdown widget on the left side of Brooklyn Baseball Banter finally reads 1 day till opening day! That means some of us get to attend the open practice tonight!

During the past few weeks I made some changes to Brooklyn Baseball Banter to make it more user friendly.

  1. DanielI added the Top Stories slider to the home page. That way, the Top 5 Stories will be much easier to choose from. The 4 latest posts will be right below it, giving you guys 9 article to choose from when you enter.
  2. Instead of 1 staff page, I’ve redone it & added tabs about the other fans who help me out & cover the team: Cyclones FeverCast with Gary Mack, Cliff Zeman’s Brooklyn-Camera & Photo by Pat Sanchez.
  3. There will be an Important Message area on the top left with important info. It might be info about rain outs, injuries or even the Magic Number.
  4. Despite the fact that switching from the Selecta theme to the MLB Fan theme with the MiLB.com option would make this blog look more professional, I am keeping the Selecta theme for at least this season. A number of people email, messaged and told me that liked the Selecta theme better. The new layout also made it harder for me to post articles, harder for people to read, and had to many ads that was distracting.
  5. To remove clutter, I moved some side tabs & relocated a few to the bottom of the page. The FOLLOW area, the top stats & other WordPress stuff is now out of the way.

See you at open practice tonight!

About Daniel S. Weiss

I have been an avid Cyclones fan since 2001. In December of 2013 I decided to launch my own blog "Brooklyn Baseball Banter" to cover the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Aw, this was a very nice post. Taking a few minutes and actual effort to make a great article… but what can I say… I hesitate a lot and don’t seem to get nearly anything done.
