Ramos appeared in 7 games, collecting 1 hit, a homer, in 11 plate appearances. He had an average of .091. Ramos has been with the Mets organization since 2011. This moves comes a few days after Brandon Brosher was added to the Cyclones roster.

In 42 plate appearances this season, Katz has 7 hits, 8 runs, 11 RBIs 2 homers, a double and 11 RBIs. In 52 games during the past 2 seasons, Katz has 49 hits, 19 walks, 10 doubles, a triple 2 homers, 29 RBIs, & 6 stolen bases. He made no errors this season.

The Sand Gnats will get another bat & infielder with the transfer of Katz.

The promotion of Ramos most likely happened because of Adrian Abreu’s suspension.

With the transfer of Katz, Katz’ Korner will suspend all meowing.

In other news, John Mincone, who spent the 2012 & 2013 seasons in Brooklyn, has retired, according to the South Atlantic League’s Transactions.

Mincone, who grew up in Huntington, Long Island, grew up a Mets fan.

In 2 seasons in Brooklyn, Mincone went 4-1 with ERAs below 2.00 each season, making him a fan favorite. Mincone earned 12 saves as a Cyclone. He was an All Star in both seasons in Brooklyn.
