qmeme_1439134683325_241The Cyclones ended their road trip with another loss, this time to losing to Vermont 6-2.

The Cyclones would do all their scoring in the Top of the 2nd off starter Angel Duno. David Thompson led off with an infield single. Brandon Brosher grounded into a force out, getting Thompson out at 2nd. Zach Mathieu singled to center moving Brandon Brosher to 3rd. Jose Garcia went down swinging, but Oswald Caraballo doubled to center, scoring Brosher & Mathieu to give Brooklyn a 2-0 lead. Branden Kaupe grounded out to end the inning.

Vermont would get their scoring started in the Bottom of the 3rd off Cyclones starter Kevin Canelon. Ryan Howell hit a 1-out double to left and went to 3rd on a ground ball by Trace Loehr. Richie Martin reached on an infield single that scored Howell with Martin to 2nd on the throw. Seth Brown flew out to end the inning.

Canelon ran into trouble in the Bottom of the 5th. After getting Steven Pallares to strike out swinging, he gave up a single to Skye Bolt and walks to Howell & Loehr to load the bases. Jesus Lopez was sent in to pinch-hit for Richie Martin. Lopez grounded into a force out that scored Bolt and Seth Brown stuck out swinging to end the inning.

The Cyclones got runners to 1st & 2nd in the Top of the 6th off reliever Derek Beasley, but failed to score.

The Bottom of the 6th saw more runs for Vermont. Brett Siddall reached on an infield single with 2 outs. Siddall stole 2nd then scored on a single by Pallares to make it 3-2. Pallares would steal 2nd, but Bolt went down swinging to end the inning.

The Bottom of the 7th saw Corey Taylor relieve Kevin Canelon. Howell singled to left and Loehr reached on an error. Jesus Lopez grounded out, making it 2nd & 3rd. Brown drew a walk to load the bases. Chris Iriart grounded out, scoring Howell, moving Loehr to 3rd & Brown to 2nd. Seong-min Kim singled to centr, scoring Loehr & Brown. Siddall grounded out to end the inning.

The Cyclones got runners to 1st & 3rd in the Top of the 8th but failed to score. They would go down in order to end the game, giving them another loss and ending the road trip 1-5.
