qmeme_1439836092536_393The Cyclones were hoping to end their losing streak, but with a crowd of 6,341 on hand at MCU Park, they were unable to.

Cyclones starter Andrew Church got through the Top of the 1st without allowing a baserunner. The Cyclones loaded the bases in the Bottom of the 1st, but David Thompson & Brandon Brosher both took strike 3 looking and they Cyclones wasted an opportunity.

The Cyclones would get their lone runs in the Bottom of the 2nd. Jose Garcia was hit by pitch & Zach Mathieu doubled him to 3rd. Enmanuel Zabala singled, scoring Garcia & sending Mathieu to 3rd. Alfredo Reyes hit into a 1-6-3 double play, scoring Mathieu. Branden Kaupe walked, but Tucker Tharp struck out swinging to end the inning.

Brooklyn wasted another chance in the Bottom of the 3rd. Thompson & Brosher drew 1 out walks and both moved up a base on a balk. Garcia went down swinging and Renegades start Travis Ott was lifted for Tyler Brashears. Mathieu grounded out to end the inning.

Brashears kept the Cyclones off the scoreboard the next 2 innings and Tim Ingram came in to pitch the Bottom of the 6th. The Cyclones were unable to get any runners in.

Church ran into trouble in the Top of the 7th. Michael Russell led off with a double to right. Joe McCarthy flew out, but a ground out by Hector Montes sent Russell to 3rd. Tom Gamboa lifted Church from the game for Craig Missigman. Matt Dacey walked and a passed ball allowed Russell to score & sent Dacey to 2nd. Angel drew a walk, but Dacey was caught stealing 3rd when Schmidt was up, keeping the score 2-1 Brooklyn.

Brandon Koch pitched a scoreless 2 innings for the Renegades & Corey Taylor pitched a perfect Top of the 8th.

The Cyclones entered the Top of the 9th 3 outs away from a win. All Star Closer Alex Palsha was called in to pitch. Jake Cronenworth led off with a single then stole 2nd. Russell tripled to right, scoring Cronenworth to tie the game at 2. McCarthy reached on catcher interference by Jose Garcia. With Montes up, McCarthy stole 2nd. Hector Montes grounded out and nobody moved up. Dacey was walked to load the bases and Palsha struck out Angel Moreno & Alex Schmidt to send the game into the Bottom of the 9th, which saw Justin McCalvin come in to pitch. McCalvin hit Zabala with a pitch. Zabala stole 2nd, but the Cyclones were unable to score him, sending the game to extra innings.

Carlos Valdez pitched a shutout Top of the 10th for the Cyclones, who wasted another chance in the Bottom of the 10th. The inning saw Jose Garcia ejected for smashing his bat on home plate.

Nicco Blank came in to pitch the Top of the 11th. Russell reached 2nd on an error by David Thompson. McCarthy grounded out, moving Russell to 3rd. Montes was hit by pitch and a double by Dacey scored Russell and moved Montes to 3rd. Blank struck out Moreno and got Schmidt to ground out to end the inning.

The Cyclones would go quietly in the Bottom of the 11th, giving them their 6th straight loss.
