The Ironbirds got off Cyclones Starter Gaby Almonte in the Bottom of the 1st. Cedric Mullins led off with a triple to right and scored on a double by Ricardo Andujar to make it 1-0. DJ Stewart grounded out, moving Andujar to 3rd. Chris Shaw singled to left, scoring Andujar. Steve Laurino reached on an infield single. Alex Murphy popped it up and was called out on the infield fly rule. Almonte got out of the game by striking out Austin Pfeiffer.

Aberdeen would get another in the Bottom of the 5th when Andujar doubled to left and was scored on a single by Stewart to make it 3-0.

The Cyclones would get their lone run in the Top of the 6th. Manuel Hilario, Alfredo Reyes and Vinny Siena all singled to load the bases. David Thompson struck out swinging. Jeff Diehl, who would be suspended 1 game in the end for his meltdown on Wednesday, hit a sacrifice fly to center scoring Hilario and moving Reyes to 3rd. Brosher walked to load the bases and Reid Love was pulled for Andrew Elliott, who got Zach Mathieu to fly out, leaving the bases loaded.

The Ironbrids would remove the save situation in the Bottom of the 8th. With Brandon Welch in to pitch, Laurino was hit by pitch and would end up at 3rd on a stolen base followed by a wild pitch. Murphy walked and a wild pitch sent him to 2nd. Pfeiffer grounded out, but didn’t score any runs. Mike Odenwaelder hit the ball to Alfredo Reyes who threw home to nail Laurino. Ruben Reyes was called in by Tom Gamboa to pitch. With Odenwaelder at 1st & Murphy to 3rd, Reyes gave up a 2-run double to make it a 5-1 game. A wild pitch by Reyes sent Turbin to 3rd, but Mullins looked at strike 3 to end the inning.

The Cyclones were unable to produce any runs in the Top of the 9th off closer Jay Flaa and would lose the game.
