So, before the game, starter Gaby Almonte was promoted to Savannah and Erik Manoah was called in to start for him.

Hendrix stole 2nd to avoid a double play, which helped as Kevin Cornelius singled to center, scoring Zehner & Hendrix. Cornelius went to 2nd on the throw. Junior Valera grounded out to end the inning with the score 3-0 Yankees.

The Cyclones surprisingly tied it up in the Bottom of the 3rd off Yankees starter Ethan Carnes. Alfredo Reyes drew a 1-out walk and Enmanuel Zabala singled him to 2nd. The team executed a double steal to make it 2nd & 3rd. Desmond Lindsay went down swinging, but Zach Mathieu hit his 16th double of the season, scoring Reyes & Zabala. Brandon Brosher tripled to center, scoring Mathieu to tie the game. Oswald Caraballo flew out to end the inning.

Manoah quickly gave back the lead in the Top of the 4th. Thairo Estrada led off with a walk and a double from Jhalan Jackson make it 2nd & 3rd. de Oleo went down swinging, but Holder drew a walk. Zehner singled to left, scoring Estrada & Jackson and sending Holder to 3rd. Hendrix went down swinging which also saw Holder steal home and Zehner steal 2nd. Krill popped out to end the inning.

The Yankees got another in the Top of the 6th. de Oleo led off with a triple and an error by Alfredo Reyes allowed him to score, making it 7-3.

The game would stay that way, as the Yankees inched closer to the NYPL playoffs.
