Sam Williams Outside MCU Park

Sam Williams Outside MCU Park

Samuel Williams, aged 28, is a Brooklyn Cyclones Season Ticket Holder from Brooklyn, NY.

Sam, who is a big New York Mets fan, became a Brooklyn Cyclones fan in 2001. He was very happy that baseball was not only returning to the borough of Brooklyn, but also moving to his favorite neighborhood, Coney Island.

Sam didn’t make it to his 1st Brooklyn Cyclones game at KeySpan Park until the 2002 season. During the game, which the Brooklyn Cyclones won, Sam managed to get a free t-shirt.

During the Brooklyn Cyclones season, Sam has season tickets in Section 12, Row 4, right on top the Brooklyn dugout. He sits with his best friend, John Herrera. On occasion, his brother Benjamin, who is also a Mets fan, will attend the games with him. Sam has had season tickets since the 2013 season.

Sam attends all Cyclones road games in Staten Island. Sam has even made a few trips up to Dutchess Stadium when the Cyclones take on the Hudson Valley Renegades.

When the Cyclones are not playing at MCU Park, Sam will come to MCU Park for Brooklyn Bolts & NYU games. Sam also attends many fan events such as the STH Nite @ Citi Field, the Team BBQ, Batting Practice and the Garage Sale. Sam likes to coordinate fan outings during the offseason, allowing him to keep up with fellow fans.

Sam’s favorite manager to date has been Wally Backman and Edgardo Alfonzo is his favorite Coach. Sam’s 5 favorite Cyclones players are Michael Conforto, Jhoan Urena, Amed Rosario, John Mora, & Cole Frenzel. Sam’s 3 favorite giveaways have been the Aggro Crags, a Nickelodeon T-Shirt & the popular Keith Hernandez Magic Loogie Bobble Head

Like so many other fans of the Brooklyn Cyclones, Sam has so many great memories, including Fan Appreciation Day 2013, Michael Conforto making his Cyclones debut, Opening Day 2014 and Back to the Future Night, when he came as Marty McFly.

Sam is a graduate of Lehman College. He currently works for the MTA, checking on stuff, such as temperatures, timing and cleanliness.
