Marty PicTomorrow will see 2 separate college baseball games at Coney Island’s MCU Park.

The NYIT Bears will play their 3rd home game of the season at MCU Park, having split a doubleheader on March 6th against SUNY- Albany.

The Stony Brook Seawolves will be taking on the NYIT Bears at 11:30. The gates will open at 10:00 AM and all those who purchase a $7 ticket will get a FREE ticket to a 2016 Brooklyn Cyclones home game, subject to availability.

This event is part of the Brooklyn Cyclones Annual Education Through Baseball Day at MCU Park.

While this event is specifically designed for schools to attend, the event is open to the public. This day focuses on educational components using the game of baseball as the tool.  Learn math, science, history, and language arts all while enjoying a day at the ballpark.

CUNYACLater in the day will be the CUNY Athletic Conference Community College Baseball Championship. The Wave from Kingsborough Community College will be taking on the Queensboro Community College Tigers. Kingsborough will be the home team, as the finished the higher seed.

Kingsboro fell in last year’s game at MCU Park to the Bronx Community College Broncos on a walkoff hit, 4-3 in 10 innings.

The top seeded Kingsborough will appear in the Championship game for the 9th time in school history. Kingsborough currently has 3 total CUNYAC Championships The #2 seeded Queensborough will be looking to win another championship. They last won in 2012 & 2013. Queensborough is looking to win Championship #16.

The matchup is a rematch of the 1999 Championship, which Kingsborough won 6-5. This will be the fourth meeting between the two schools in the Championship game.

Tickets for this game are FREE, but you need a ticket to attend this event. Tickets will be at available at MCU Park if needed. You can get them ahead of time by clicking HERE. Tickets can be downloaded to your phone with the EventBrite App or by printing them out.

The gates of MCU Park are scheduled to open at 6pm. Seating is on a 1st come, 1st served basis. You may sit anywhere in MCU Park’s main seating bowl.

The CUNY Athletic Conference asks all fans to leave their artificial noisemakers at home, as they will not be permitted into MCU Park for this event. This includes but is not limited to thundersticks, tambourines, cowbells and whistles. You may bring food into MCU Park.
