The Cyclones are returning from a trip upstate to begin a 6-game homestand. As the team will be trying to break out of its slump, there will be plenty going at MCU Park, as the team will have multiple celebrity appearances, giving out some bobbleheads, & wearing special jerseys.
Tuesday, August 9th, 7:00 PM
PITCHING MATCHUP: RHP Harol Gonzalez (4-1, 1.77) vs RHP Logan Shore (0-0, 0.00)
The team returns home to begin a 3-game set with the Vermont Lake Monsters.
The team will be honoring a man who was very bad Mets manager, a man who is a total hypocrite, and a man who has the inability to punish one of MLB’s dirtiest players. The Cyclones will be honoring Joe Torre with a bobblehead, featuring him in a Brooklyn Cadets uniform, a team Joe played for while growing up in Brooklyn.
Only the 1st 2,000 fans will get a bobblehead, so be in line early. The gates of MCU Park will open at 5:15 PM for Season Ticket Holders and 5:30 PM for everyone else. Shortly after 5:30, there will be a pre-game celebrity softball game. The celebrities include: Former NY Knicks John Starks & John Wallace; Former Met & SNY Analyst Nelson Figueroa; Good Day NY’s Rosanna Scotto & Greg Kelly and drew; Staff from the Elvis Duran Morning Show. In addition, members of DSNY, NYPD, FDNY and other civil servants.
The Celebrity Softball Game will benefit Joe Torre’s Safe at Home Foundation (though Torre needs to teach umpire how to call Utley OUT at 2nd). The Safe at Home Foundation looks to fight domestic abuse. There is no word on if Torre will be signing autographs or posing for pictures with fans.
Stick around after the Cyclones game, as there will be post-game fireworks from behind the outfield wall.

PITCHING MATCHUP: RHP Merandy Gonzalez (4-2, 3.54) vs RHP Jesus Zambrano (2-2, 5.53)
For the 1st time all season, the Cyclones will play a home game on a Wednesday, meaning that it $10 Ticket Wednesday. Every seat in MCU Park, Bleachers, Box & Field Box, will all cost only $10, in advanced and on game day. So all you cheapskates who buy bleacher tickets and sit in the infield, make sure to buy infield seats for once.
It is 90s Night at MCU Park, presented by Nickelodeon. In honor of 90s Night, both teams participating will be wearing special Ren & Stimpy jerseys in honor of Ren & Stimpy’s 25th anniversary. The Brooklyn Cyclones will be wearing Stimpy faced uniforms while the Vermont Lake Monsters will wear jerseys with Ren’s face on it, complete with his four squiggly hairs.
Like the two other Nickelodeon jerseys the Cyclones have worn in the past, these jerseys will be very hard to get, as they will not be available in the team store. Fans who want one must enter the Jersey Off the Back Raffle at the ballpark that night or an bid in an online auction to win a game used one shortly after.
The Cyclones will also be wearing a special hat in honor of Ren & Stimpy night. The hat will be available for purchase in the team store.
There is also a special bobblehead package, where fans can get special Ren & Stimpy Bobbleheads. The bobbleheads do not feature any Cyclones logos on it.
The package is just $25 and can be purchased online. Season Tickets Holders can add the bobblehead on to their package for just $15 by simply calling their account executives and asking for the bobblehead. Fans should do so as soon as they can, because there is a limited amount available.

PITCHING MATCHUP: RHP Justin Dunn (1-1, 0.60) vs RHP Dakota Chalmers (4-2, 4.37)
It’s the 3rd Jersday Thursday of 2016. In honor of the 30th Anniversary of the New York Mets winning the 1986 World Series, the team will be giving out jerseys inspired by the 1986 uniforms, featuring the signature racing stripes. All the jerseys will have #47 on it for Jesse Orosco, who recorded the final out of Game 7.
The jerseys are presented by the Hospital for Special Surgery. Only 2,500 will be given out, so be in line early as the gates of MCU Park will open at 5:15 PM for Season Ticket Holders and 5:30 PM for everyone else.
Jesse Orosco will be in appearance as well. During the game, Orosco will sign autographs on the concourse from the Top of the 2nd until the Bottom of the 7th. There will be a limit of one item per person to ensure that as many people can meet him.
For Verizon Wireless & FiOS Customers, there will also be an exclusive meet & greet with Orosco. Starting at 5:30 PM, the first 25 fans who show their Verizon Bill to the Cyclones representative at the ticket info kiosk located behind Section 5 will be invited to a pre-game Meet & Greet from 6:00 – 6:35 PM. Each of these 25 customers will receive 2 wristbands to gain access.

PITCHING MATCHUP: LHP Thomas Szapucki (1-2, 1.02) vs. LHP Cam Vieaux (1-1, 3.17)
The reigning 2015 NYPL Champion West Virginia Black Bears make their 1st ever trip to Brooklyn. The Cyclones will be looking for their first win ever against the Black Bears, as they were swept in Morgantown, WV last season.
It will be Military Appreciation Night at MCU Park, as we salute those who serve, protect and defend us. Beginning Friday, August 5th at 10 AM, the first 100 active or retired members of our Armed Forces to show military ID at the MCU Park Box Office during business hours will receive 2 complimentary tickets to the game vs the Black Bears.
It is also the 30th Anniversary of the hit movie Top Gun, so the 1st 2,000 fans to enter MCU Park will receive a pair of Aviator Sunglasses with a Cyclones logo on it, just like fan favorite Terrible Tom Cox wears.

Saturday brings Augtoberfest to MCU Park. In honor of Augtoberfest, the Brooklyn cyclones will be giving out Beer Stein Mugs for Saturday’s game against the Black Bears.
Only the 1st 2,000 fans into MCU Park will get these, so make sure to keep an eye on the clock and arrive early.

Sunday August 14th, 4:00 PM
PITCHING MATCHUP: RHP Gabriel Llanes (3-5, 3.28) vs RHP Stephen Meyer (2-4, 4.96)
The Cyclones will be giving out special Hands High t-shirts. These t-shirts feature a Cyclones logo across the chest and a BC logo under each arm, showing your team spirit when you throw your hands up.
Unlike most giveaways, this will only be available to the first 1,500 fans in attendance. The Gates of MCU Park will open at 2:15 for Season Ticket Holders and 2:30 for everyone else.
Sunday also brings the popular Bark in the Park to Coney Island, as the Alliance for NYC’s Animals will have pregame activities outside the park, such as Sean Casey Animal Rescue showing dogs and cats on a North Shore Animal League America mobile adoption unit. There will also be free photos-ops for pets and their people as well as free personalized pet tag giveaways. FreshPet, will be handing out food and coupons. The Department of Heath will be on hand for dog licensing and free rabies vaccinations. Fans can bring their dogs to sit in the bleacher only. Dogs will not be permitted in the main bowl.
Prior to the game, fans can bring their gloves and play catch on the field. Following that will be the “Parade of Pooches,” as fans can walk their dogs along the warning track.
The team will be wearing special Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Jerseys. Fans can either purchase these in the store, win them in the Jersey off the Back Raffle, or they can purchase the special Jimmy Fallon Sleepover Package through the ticketing department, which includes a replica jersey. Season Ticket Holders can add the jersey by calling their account executive.
Following the game, all kids get to run the bases.
