Auburn Doubledays

The Cyclones return home for their final 3-game set of the 2016 season with a series against the Auburn Doubledays. The series will feature a giveaway blanket, fireworks, base-running, and many themes. The fan-base will also pay tribute to the Brooklyn Bolts.

Monday, August 29th, 7:00 PM

Tuesday brings one of the final, and useful giveaways of the 2016 season. The Brooklyn Cyclones will be giving out fleece blankets to the 1st 2,000 fans to enter MCU Park on Monday for the series opener against the Auburn Doubledays.

The gates of MCU Park will open at 5:15 PM for Season Ticket Holders and 5:30 PM for everyone else.

The game is being presented by SONY, as the Cyclones will be having a 25th Anniversary of the the Internet. Expect there to be old sound effects such as dial up, AOL’s You’ve Got Mail, and more.

Fleece Blanket

The giveaway fleece blankets feature the team’s alternate BKLYN Bridge Logo with dark blue arches and a red scripted logo on a powder blue backdrop.

Aside from being used to keep oneself warm, team blankets can also serve as a flag, banner, cape, or seat cover.

Stick around after the game, as EVERYONE in attendance gets to run the bases.

PITCHING MATCHUP: RHP Justin Dunn (1-1, 1.50) vs LHP Yonathan Ramirez (3-2, 4.02)

Fireworks copyThere is no giveaway on Tuesday. but there will be plenty going on during the game, some of which may be torturous to the mature adult fans who paid good money to come to see a game of baseball.

It will be Princess & Pirate Night at MCU Park, so expect a lot of children, and some adults, in costumes because watching a ballgame in baseball gear is simply to hard. There will be plenty of princess themed & pirate themed music.

NYU LogoThe game is being sponsored by New York University, which houses their baseball team at MCU Park.

CJ Picerni, the NYU Violets catcher who was drafted by the Washington Nationals, is not on the Doubledays roster and is not expected to be promoted from the GCL Nationals for the series.

The gates of MCU Park will open at 5:15 PM for Season Ticket Holders and 5:30 PM for everyone else.

Tuesday night means Post-Game Fireworks from behind the CF wall, so stick around after the game for a fabulous show of pyrotechnics.


Wednesday, August 31st, 7:00 PM

PITCHING MATCHUP: RHP Erik Manoah (5-4, 5.43) vs RHP Carlos Acevedo (2-4, 3.27)

The Brooklyn Cyclones wrap up the series against the Auburn Doubledays on Wednesday night. The theme of the night Country Music Night, because every game has to have some theme.

The gates of MCU Park will open at 5:15 PM for Season Ticket Holders and 5:30 PM for everyone else.

$10 WedIt will be a $10 Ticket Wednesday, where every seat in MCU Park costs just $10, in advanced and on the day of the game.

So if you are one of those people who buy bleacher tickets and sit in the main seating bowl, make sure to buy a seat in the main bowl.

Stick around after the game, as everyone in attendance gets to run the bases.

The Boardwalk Battalion is also organizing a Salute to the Brooklyn Bolts Night, where all fans are encouraged to wear Brooklyn Bolts gear, such as jerseys, shirts and caps, as a way of remembering the two championship seasons the Bolts had at MCU Park. It is also our way of thanking the Brooklyn Cyclones front office for making Bolts games the best in the FXFL.
